Photograph your child once a week every week for a year 27/52

'nother day, 'nother photo. i told hayley
that she was going to take a picture
with a ballerina, her dream came true.
her smile melts my heart.[image description: a

hayley took a bite of her first summer peach
yesterday, the sweetness took her by surprise
as she closed her eyes to enjoy every bite.

Photograph your child once a week every week for a year 24/52

thursday hayley went to her first graduation, as
i was chatting with hayley about what was going
to happen, she was distracted by the loud noises and
yelling from everyone that was anxiously awaiting
their graduate. almost everyone had balloons and
flowers to give their children, along with posters
that read congratulations graduates. suddenly the
parents became silent and the music started
playing, which was a cue that every child was going
to walk through those doors one last time. i told
hayley graduation was not about the pomp and
circumstance, but about a memorable moment
for her. [image description: a baby in a stroller

cliche`cause it's true. [hayley's hands grabbing
my bottle of tea, wearing her summer rust linen bonnet and me in my
white husband shirt cradling my arms around her.]

Photograph your child once a week every week for a year 15/52

god knew our lives would dull with age
without a special touch.
so he planned for creativity, for undivided time,
for empty laps and full hearts to hold.
his special joys; for early morning laughter
and late night stories too.
he knew we would need the sunshine when the
days were dim and that is why...
god made grand children

hayley lately: she's cooing nonstop, she hates getting into
